Step off the beaten path and deep into the heart of Madakhel with The Twisted Maze, a full-day adventure designed for true thrill-seekers. Hike, swim, and climb through narrow canyons, cold pools, and rugged terrain in one of AlUla’s most remote and breathtaking landscapes.
This 8–10 hour journey is not for the faint of heart. You'll face physical and mental challenges, navigate technical routes with ropes, and push your limits in an ever-changing natural maze. In winter, expect chilly waters and a raw, wild experience like no other.

6:00 AM – Meet at Husaak Center AlUla
Arrive at the center for a safety briefing and final equipment check. Our guides will introduce the plan for the day, distribute gear, and ensure everyone is well-prepared.
6:15 AM – Departure to Madakhel
Begin a scenic one-hour 4x4 drive to the entrance of The Twisted Maze, a remote canyon system known for its dramatic terrain and isolation.
7:00 AM – Start The Twisted Maze Hike
The adventure begins. Expect a demanding 8–10 hour journey on foot through narrow passages, towering canyon walls, and natural pools. You'll hike, scramble, swim, and use rope techniques to navigate this ever-changing landscape.
12:00 PM (approx.) – Break for a Packed Lunch
Enjoy a packed sandwich lunch with snacks and bottled water in a scenic canyon rest area.
5:00 PM – End of Hike
After emerging from the canyon’s final stretch, regroup with your guides for the return to AlUla.
6:00 PM – Arrive Back at Husaak Center
Return to the center with stories to tell, accomplishments to celebrate, and memories forged in one of AlUla’s most hidden gems.
