Volcano Hike AlUla

A unique experience hiking to a remote extinct volcano! This natural phenomenon was alive thousands of years ago. To reach the ridge of the volcano requires a very short but steep hike.  

The area is often windy, you will feel as though you are flying at the ridge of the volcano and then experience complete calmness as you decend. The Volcano start point is a 2 hour each way drive from Husaak Center AlUla, most of the way is extreme off-roading but it's worth the bumpy ride! 

There are many lose rocks, so care is needed on this hike, please be sure to pack ankle support hiking boots.

• A short but steep hike with some loose rocks
• Requires medium fitness level
• 2 hour each way drive, 1 hour is extreme off-roading 
• Not recommended for those who suffer with motion / travel sickness
• We recommend dressing in comfortable hiking attire and ankle support hiking boots. Pack a hat, sunscreen, jacket/windbreaker, polar fleece and backpack to carry water and snacks
• Not suitable for children under 8 years old
• Hiking requires physical fitness and stamina
• Hiking clothes and boots will not be provided

Please be mindful of booking other activities if the estimated return time overlaps with The Volcano, the group will not wait for you and if you do not make it on time you will be marked as a no show and lose your ticket.
