Wadi Tiwi and Turtle Beach
Join the team on a family friendly two-night camping adventure. On the first night you shall experience sunset on the Salmah Plateau and come sunrise you set off to explore the scenic Wadi Tiwi. Wadi Tiwi is a lush paradise of palm trees and fresh water pools. Use the stairs to decend into the Wadi, boulder through part of the wadi to reach the large pool. Swim and relax before journeying a little further and then ascending from the farm.
Ras al Hadd is home to the iconic turtle beach, a well known nesting site. As night 2 draws in, you begin your search of nesting turtles, an experience you get to witness if you are one of the lucky ones. You will spend the night camping withing the grounds of Sama Heights Resort. On the morning before your return to Muscat, weather allowing, you get to go on a leisurely boat ride with a local fishermen in hopes of catching sight of dolphins.

Nice to Have: Hat, sunglasses, gloves for summertime, lip balm and sunscreen, bug spray/ repellent, camera / gopro with chargers, extra batteries, toiletries, fresh clothes, sandals / flipflops for the camp and waterproof mobile phone case.

Trip details
Start - Thursday at 2 pm
End - Saturday at 1 pm
Day 1:
After the briefing and safety meeting at the Husaak center the team will drive to the Salmah plateau where they will set up camp above the cloud. Depending on the time, a light hike around sunset followed by a camp fire and a delicious dinner.
Day 2:
The team will wake up in the morning, prepare breakfast and back up camp. Descending down the mountain and drive to Mibam village where you will enter the canyon at the waterfall side using the stairs. From here you will climb, boulder and swim to reach the large fresh water pool. Spend a couple of hours in paradise before exiiting the canyon at the farm and make your way back to the vehicles. Visit the public bathroom to freshen up and change into dry clothing before driving 2 hours to Ras Al Hadd. You will spend this night at a local chalet and tuck into a grill dinner. After dark, if you're not too tired you will go and look for green turtles. This could take 1 hour or 2.
Day 3:
In the morning, the team will wake up and make a beach breakfast followed by a dolphin boat ride (Weather dependant). The team will be back to Muscat between 12-2 pm on Saturday where adventurers can shower and rest in the Husaak center.
