DAY_1:
You will be picked up from your hotel at 03:00 Am and drive to Cairo by A.C car , the distance is 540 k.m
On arrival in Cairo, head straight to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the last existing monument of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus and the Great Sphinx with many outstanding photo stops.
Savour lunch at a local restaurant where you can take a break and enjoy delicious Egyptian cuisine. Afterwards, visit a good quality bazaar where you will have the chance to check out local hand-made objects and buy some souvenirs if you wish to.
Continue to the National Egyptian Museum, which houses over a quarter of a million priceless artefacts, including a rare collection of Egyptian art, over 5,000 years old. You will get a chance to visit the Tutankhamen treasure room, which is bursting with jewellery and gold that was originally enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years.
Finally, you will be transferred to Cairo Giza Pyramids view Guest House for overnight where you will enjoy dinner and the rest of the evening at leisure.
DAY_2:
In the morning, after breakfast , you will start with a visit to the magnificent fortress of Salah el din Citadel, which served as Egypt's seat of government till the 1860s. Then proceed to Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as "The Alabaster Mosque" because most of its walls are made out of pure alabaster. The mosque is a replica of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.
Next stop is in the colourful Coptic Quarter, which is the original home of the Coptic Christians. See the Hanging Church, aka the Virgin Mary Church which is located above a gateway in the old Roman fortress. Admire the courtyard and interior with its screens, marble pulpit and icons, and hear about its rich history.
After a hearty lunch in a good quality local restaurant, you will continue to the Monastery and Church of St George; the very first round church in Egypt. Also stop at Abu Serga church, where the Holy Family stayed during their flight into Egypt from King Herod.
Complete your Cairo tour at the Coptic Museum and examine some of the 16,000 ancient artefacts on display, including precious icons and books that illustrate the history of Egypt Coptic community.
Finally, after an unforgettable time in Cairo for two days, sit back and recollect your favourite moments as you travel back to your hotel in Sahl Hasheesh
